Do you ever find yourself giving so much to others that you have little left to give to yourself?
Do you ever act in ways that don’t reflect who you are at your core, but aren’t sure why?
Do you long to express yourself from a place of deep clarity and to be seen in the fullness of your truth?
Finding Our Truths, Honoring Our Voices is a monthly gathering that offers space for women and femmes to slow down, tune in, give expression to what is moving through them, and serve as witness to one another.
Gatherings will include meditation, a short teaching based on principles of Compassionate Communication, engaging in a practice in large and/or small group, and sharing our wisdom of heart and mind.
Compassionate Communication is a tool developed by Marshall Rosenberg, PhD to cultivate connection and understanding of self and others. When we foster self-awareness and empathy, we are also able to approach others with greater understanding and empathy.
Compassionate Communication works from the framework that everything we say and do is an attempt to get our needs met, yet much of the time we don’t have a conscious awareness of what those needs are at a deep level. With connection always at the forefront, Compassionate Communication seeks to go beneath statements of fault and judgment of self or others to find the emotions and the underlying needs and values being expressed.
Finding Our Truths, Honoring Our Voices will focus on self-connection, self-understanding, self-acceptance, while also building connection, understanding, and acceptance in community with one another.
This event is offered and facilitated by Cory Lockhart at Red Tent Louisville.
With the exception of November, gatherings are on the fourth Wednesday of the month. The remaining 2019 dates are August 28, September 25, October 23, and November 20 (third Wednesday of the month). There will be no gathering in December.
Investment is $30.
You can now sign up for August, September, and October gatherings all at once! After clicking on the August date, click “Add a Time” rather than “Continue” so you can see and register for multiple gatherings at one time.
